WTF is going on with Restaurante ´El Laurel´ (Elviria, Marbella)?

Dear El Laurel Team (and heroic renovation workers 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️),

We miss you! 😭 Your food, your Vina Sol, your good vibes, your beautiful views — everything!

We know perfection takes time... but it’s been many, many months now. 🕰️ Our patience is running low and our cravings are running HIGH. 🍷🍴🌞

Please hurry up — Marbella needs you back! Elviria isn’t the same without El Laurel.
We promise to be your hungriest, happiest, and most loyal customers once those doors swing open again.

See you (hopefully very, very soon)!

Jamón: From Snack to Status Symbol 🐖

Ham isn't just ham in Spain—it's jamón, and it's practically a religion. At the top of the ham hierarchy sits Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, made from free-roaming pigs that feast on acorns like gourmet forest hobbits. It's melt-in-your-mouth luxury that can cost more than your monthly rent. Then there’s Jamón Serrano, the more affordable cousin—tasty, but without the acorn-fueled pedigree. 🥩

Prices range from €5 supermarket packs to €900+ legs that come with a wooden stand and their own fan club. But no matter the grade, Spaniards—and now the world—devour it with pride.

From tapas bars in Madrid to gourmet shops in Tokyo, jamón is Spain’s salty, cured gift to the planet. 🐷

🛎️Restaurants are at the heart of life @ the Costa del Sol  Everyone loves good food! This sunny stretch of Spain is a paradise for food lovers, blending Mediterranean freshness with Andalusian soul; from beachfront chiringuitos serving up freshly grilled sardines (espeto) to mountain-side ventas offering slow-cooked oxtail and rich stews 🍲

The region is known for local specialties like ajoblanco (a cold almond and garlic soup), boquerones fritos (crispy fried anchovies), and, of course, the famous jamón ibérico 🐖

Restaurants on the Costa are more than just places to eat — they’re where people come together to share stories, laughs, and sunsets.

It’s no wonder the Costa del Sol is one of Europe’s top food destinations!

🎬 Title Clip: 😱 Oriental Tuna in La Cala

🙋‍♀️ 👋Contributor: 📸 Chef Steven Saunders, The Geranium

🗣️ What the Contributor Has to Say 💬 Let’s Hear his Story!:

´Direct and fresh from Tenerife: fresh tuna. Absolutely delicious once prepared by me. Should be eaten raw. Important: use a good quality olive oil if you wanna try this at home. Much better idea: come to my restaurant in Mijas Pueblo 😉´

✨ Our opinion: 'Fits the “Sun, Fun and WTF” energy 110%! 🌞🎉 Well done 🙌 but let´s wait and see. The competition is high. Stay tuned. Thx clip.

La Sala, Puerto Banús
One of Marbella’s hottest spots! 🔥

Since 2010, La Sala has been the place for live music, great food, and a buzzing atmosphere — seven days a week! From tribute nights like Michael Bublé and the Rat Pack to Sunday parties that last all day, it’s where locals, celebs, and visitors all come to eat, drink, dance, and repeat. 🎶🍸
A true Marbella classic!

💃 PUENTE ROMANO – MARBELLA’S GLAM ZONE 🍸

This isn’t just about La Plaza—it’s the whole delicious, buzzing circle

of restaurants around it. Think Bibo, Nobu, COYA, Cipriani, Sea Grill…

The vibe? Luxury meets laid-back cool. It’s people-watching heaven—models, moguls, foodies, fashionistas—and the food is just as stunning.

Mediterranean, Peruvian, Japanese, beachy, bougie, bold—you name it, it’s probably sizzling on a plate here.

They don’t just talk about quality either—Puente Romano grows its own veggies, supports local producers, and serves free trade coffee. That means you can feel good while sipping your €22 cocktail. 🍸

STEAK TARTARE: when your beef is so good, you don’t even bother cooking it! 🗼🥩🔪

🎯 What is Steak Tartare, Anyway?

It’s raw minced or finely chopped beef (usually tenderloin or sirloin) mixed with ingredients like egg yolk, capers, mustard, onions, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of bravery. Often served with toast, fries, or both—because carbs calm nerves.

🥩 At Cascada Cocina & Bar?

Cascada didn’t just serve steak tartare. They understood the assignment. Fresh, punchy, and plated like they knew we’d post it before we ate it.
